View Full Version : Upgrade to SP2

I upgraded to SP 2 from Win XP. Afterward, I could not upload pages from a
secure web site. After doing everything humanly possible to rectify, I spoke
to the techs of the web in question. He mentioned that the only way he know
how to fix it was to unisnstall SP2. I unistalled SP2, and voila, I could
upload the pages again. Why is that?
Further and lately, I have been experiencing many lock outs once I'm in to a
web Site using Internet Explorer? Any body else has the same problem?

Hi
Have you tried the IE News Group:

or

I had this problem with a SunTrust banking secure site.
To my surprise, they pointed (correctly) that the Google search bar setting
for autofill was causing the problem.
Something about SP2 and an older version of the Google bar causes security
problems for some sites.
Google also now has a replacement bar. Firefox also worked without problem.

SP2 has tightened security settings in the Internet Zone a lot. If you
have a trusted secure site you need, go to Internet Options - Security,
highlight Trusted and click Sites, then add the URL -
https://wherever.com in the Add pane and click Add
And that Tech really OUGHT to know this!
