Used to be able to view contents of a file in Windows
Explorer using Quick View. Does this functionailty still
reside in XP? Or is there a new way of doing old things.

Quick View was licensed by MS for inclusion in earlier versions of
Windows. It is no longer licensed for inclusion with XP, it wasn't in
Windows ME either. The company that made it has gone through several
transitions since then. Quick View Plus can be purchased online from
http://www.avantstar.com/.
