installing messenger 6.0

My friend in Italy is having trouble installing MSN
messenger. The error reads: you do not have proper
permission to access this installation.
Can someone tell me what he has to do to get access.

Greetings Janice,

That indicates that he's currently running in an account without administrator privileges.
He'll need to logon to his computer using an account which has administrator privileges to
install Messenger. If he's using a work computer, this may not be an option, and he may need
to use a web-based Messenger client like, http://www.wbmsn.com.
