I had to reformat my drive and to do so required that I remove the SP2 I had
recently dowloaded.
Now I went to Windows update to dowload XP2 and it will not let me. What
next ??
Also I did download the quick download feature offered at the Windows update
site and it made my pc speed go to a crawl . I had top remove it? why?
Thank you for your help.
I hope MS is not going to send you round to take this pc away.

Windows Update puts you into a queue for receiving SP2, it shows up after a
while with automatic updates enabled. Alternatives:

Technet download:

Or you can order the CD:

Not necessary. Installing SP2 covers the SP1 updates as well.

Only if required by the manufacturer of the system. It is not required to
download and is not the problem the OP has.
Click on the link below, or copy and paste the link into the address box
if using the web based newsgroup.
Do I need Service Pack 1 installed before applying Service Pack 2?
