Running XPhome and I obtained SP2 cd from microsoft and after
installation/upgrading on bootup the computer read: windows did not shut
down properly, yadda yadda ...... then I was given options to boot normally
or safe mode. Normal mode would just bring me right back to the same screen
so I reboot in safe mode then restarted again normally to the same screen.
So in safe mode I was able to uninstall SP2, thank the good Gods above. And
am now back to normal.

Any particular reason why it did this? Can i not upgrade this system to SP2
for any reason?

I disabled all virus software before installation/upgrade.

Thanks in advance

Hi, Jane.

You didn't tell us what "this system" is. :>(

Most computers have no problems with SP2. What make and model is yours?
Or, if you built it or upgraded it yourself, what is the make and model of
the motherboard, CPU and graphics card?
