| Already done - this is the one that concerns me the most.
The browser

on the

AdAware and

|
| Any other ideas?

Congrats Leythos for finding your own solution, and many THANK YOUS for
sticking with this one AND posting the ANSWER!. I also had this exact
problem on a customers computer after an xp pro upgrade from windows
me. I also have been doing this for about 20 years and this one was
kicking my arse all around my customers house for more than 10 hours.

In addition to your problems I had also lost all user account icons
(thats what got me started looking for an answer in the first place) in
the user accounts control panel. Not even the Admin account icon showed!
The user accounts page was blank. After running the update you listed
and a reboot all was fixed including several other small issues that
were not even noticed at first, like getting a blank page while trying
to access the windows update page. Thanks again!
