XP-SP2 popup window hide permission problem

[Thinksol overseas pvt ltd]

IE version is 6.0.2900 also having XP-SP2 ,when we are trying to do
popup.hide() , it is giving 'permission deined error' as javascript
error.what is the solution for that.
In Windows 2000 SP4 we are not getting that problem.
Is there any method available which replaces popup.hide().

kelly ,what is the exact solution for that .In google we did not get any
proper reply.
is it a bug in XP-SP2 ,which will be fixed with next patch.or popup.hide is
disabled for ever.if it is disabled then we have to change the code
