According to the features page on
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/messenger/features.asp:

Talk instead of type
Stop typing! Talk with others anywhere in the world using your computer
microphone and speakers. Windows Messenger supports high-quality voice
calling from your computer.

See who you're talking to
With the right equipment and network connections, you can have real-time
video chats right from your computer.

How do these technologies work in an Exchange Instant Messaging (RVP) and
Office Live Communications Server (SIP) environment? Do they utilize the
server services or rely upon client to client communication? Is there any
advantage of SIP over RVP? Or do these technologies only work with with the
..NET Messenger service?
