Since installing SP2 my computer tries to read my floppy drive after starting
up, while there is nothing in the drive. It makes weird noises when trying
to read it. Is there any way to stop it from doing that? Could it have been
caused from having a Floppy disk in the drive while installing SP2?
Please Help!

when your computer starts it looks for a device to boot from ie disc, floppy
cd etc
you can control which device is bvooted first and then the order in the bios
where exactly depends on your bios
start machine - go into bios
to do this press usually f1 or f2 or more commonly delete before windows
starts
in bios look for boot order or similar and ensure that disc 0 is the first
boot device before floppy
this should do it

that didnt work, I think it might be the virus scanner. I think I have it
set to scan the drives on startup. Thanks though.
