[msn messenger 6.0]

I tried to connect with using my webcam. Run the wizard,
and I can see myself, speakers ok, mic ok. When I try to
connect, it does not work.
When tried web camera settings nothing appears in the
screen and controls are all greyed out.
I was able to received video from other computer, but not
send.
Windows XP professional, msn messenger6, dell p4 with
1394 camera

The first step would be to ensure that your camera is on the hardware
compatibility list for this operating system.

Greetings,

The 'Webcam' feature in MSN Messenger 6 will not support DV cameras. You can however use
your DV Camera if your contact is using XP. To do so, click the Actions menu in the
conversation window, then choose 'Start Video Conference' (instead of Webcam). You'll also
need to go through the Audio/Video Tuning wizard (see the Tools menu) to select the DV Camera
first.
