I installed sp2 and all subsequent windows update files and now websites load
like I'm on a dial up (have cable modem).

I uninstalled sp2 and the sites were fast like expected. I re-installed
everything and problems still exist. I have adaware, zone alarm, ran error
check, defraged, windows cleanup, cleared cache, etc. No avail.

Heard that system restore files may cause problems? leary of deleting all
my restore points.

Thoughts? comments? amusing anecdotes?
THanks!

Turning off the popup blocker (options, advanced, see checkbox) could be it.
