Does a message saying that I have been signed out because I signed in at
another location mean that someone is using my account/password that I don't
know?

Hi Patrick,
That is correct, someone else is using your account elsewhere.
You should change your password immediately.
You can do this here.

Or it may well be that he is using both Windows Messenger and MSN Messenger
and MSN Messenger has signed him out of Windows Messenger

Or you have the same problem i have, you updated to msn
6.0 from msn 4.7 and 4.7 takes over when you try to
retrieve e-mail. Hence signing out of one location to
another. Is there a tool to remove msn 4.7 does anybody
know?
