We just upgraded my mother's computer to XP (from 98-SE)
and now when she logs into her Hotmail account (could be
every other webpage, too, I'm not sure yet) it says:

"The feature you are trying to use is on a network
resourse that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or
enter an alternate path to a folder containing the
installation package 'MsnMsgs.msi' in the box below."

We just installed XP yesterday and we don't even use
Messenger! Can anyone help??

TIA,
Lynn

Greetings Lynn,

It sounds like MSN Messenger was installed on Windows 98, which the Windows Installer is now
trying to "fix" (the upgrade probably removed it). Regardless, to quickly fix this, simply
install the latest MSN Messenger 6 on top:
http://messenger.msn.com/Download

After this, the message should go away.
