I have 2 problems with Windows XP - professional

1. The Atapi 52x cd drive is recognized my in My
Computer as Drive E:\ . However, it does not recognize
any CD'S inserted in it. Instead, it always give the
following error message: E:\ is not accessible, Incorrect
Function. However, it works fine under Windows 2000 (Both
XP and W 2000 are installed in the computer). I have not
been able to find a driver to fix this problem.
2. Upon Shut Down, a long message appears indicating
error and it does not turn off. The errors
are:
STOP:0X0000000A
(0X000002DC,0X000000,0X00000000,0X804E9DE48)
IRQL-NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

I installed Service Pack 1 but it did not help either
problems.

I will appreciate any ideas. Thank you.
