Well thank you trippy123 for that in depth analysis....Now do you know
anything about NVidia's Geforce 3 ti200 blanking or placing my Packard Bell
Model 2020 into standby mode when I activate "The Incredibles" action game
for PC Users??

You get all kinds around here, don't you? That GeForce card is a bit on the
old side, isn't it? Are you sure it has the horsepower to handle a game
like The Incredibles? You may have to turn all the cool effects off to
lessen the burden on the card. As an aside, I haven't seen a Packard Bell
system in years. They were run out of the US some time ago for selling new
computers with used parts in them and neglecting to tell anyone about it.

You may be right about horsepower....I found that the game works correctly in
480x640 mode, but in 800x600 or 1024x768 it causes the PB2020 to go into
standby. As for the monitor, I've had that baby since 1992...12 years and
still looks good. I think I need to take a closer look at the refresh
settings in 800x600 (set for 60hz) especially since XP actually runs in that
mode....and the game doesn't. Any guesses on why??

Could it be that you may have to dial up the refresh rate for the game to be
drawn properly by your card? Try 75hz and see what happens in 800 x 600.
