Hi there,

Windows XP and IE ver 6.0, with SP2. I am having a problem now and then
downloading files.
For example: I tried to download a .pdf user's manual for my brother
printer from their website. It is 3.04 megs. I click on the file to "save
as" as it shows a fast download, and then gives me a "complete". I go and
check the download and it is only 384k! It refuses to download the whole
thing. I get no error messages, just a "complete".

I know it is on my end, because I called someone else and they downloaded
the same file just fine.

Can someone help me resolve this? Where can I look to find a solution?

Thanks,
Leef

Are you by chance running more than one firewall. I had a similar problem.

I did two things. Upgraded to SP2, problem went away. Later problem
returned, and I think running two firewalls was a problem. I shut down Zone
Alarm, ran only with the XP firewall, and was able to download OK.
