I am unable to initiate NetMeeting calls from my Windows
XP machine. One of my colleagues has Windows 98, and he
can initiate calls to me, which I can then attend. Is
anyone aware how to fix this problem so I can initiate
calls?

XP is not the problem. So, you have to describe how you are connected to
the internet. Also, did you activate via Start--Run--Conf. if not
then do so.

I am connected through a cable modem. I did activate the
Start-Run-Conf. I can receive netmeeting calls but
cannot initiate them.
