View Full Version : Windows Messenger 5

December 11th 03, 05:28 PM
Since I got windows XP, I've been using Windows messenger
instead of MSN messenger and have always found the most
useful feature of either to be the immediate notification
of hotmail emails. I have also often thought it would be
a good idea to have it do the same for the emails on my
normal account, but now it does neither. I have installed
MSN messenger to regain the hotmail notification, but I
don't understand why it was removed Windows Messenger. If
anyone can tell me how to enable/add it to version 5 I
would be grateful, otherwise this is just a note to
Microsoft to suggest adding both hotmail and 'normail'
mail checking to either one or both messengers. Thanks,
Tom.

Greetings Tom,

Hotmail is part of MSN and is officially called MSN Hotmail -- hence why it's in MSN
Messenger. There is no way to add it to Windows Messenger 5.
