Does anyone know how to delete unused contacts out of your
lists?

Greetings Robin,

Just open up the main contact list (double-click the Messenger icon in the notification
area/system tray, by the clock), right-click the contact you want to remove and click Delete.

If you're referring to contacts within the Privacy tab in the Messenger options, you can also
right-click these contacts and choose Delete, but this option will only be available if that
person has removed you off their main contact list, otherwise the option will be grayed out
and you won't be able to remove them.

other wise, anyone who gets your net passport address can
make themselfs contacts, and all you can do is block them,
sounds like a great way to send spam if you don't act right
away. maybe ms could fix this soon??

Hi,

This is the way Messenger was designed, changing this would be extremely difficult at this
point. You would need to block them, and then remove them off your main contact list.
Unless you actually went into the Options, Privacy tab, you'd never notice them.
