SP@ has made my machine unusable. About every 1/2 hr the machine locks up
and crashes. I'mm just plain peed off and microsoft has no useful help on
the matter nor does the machine manufacturer. SP2 in my opinion is junk that
microsoft should withdraw from the market

Rob;
Is all your hardware and software compatible with SP-2?
Compatibility with Windows XP is not enough.
Was your computer well maintained and ready for SP-2 before installation:

SP-2 installs without problems on most well maintained computers.
Lockups usually indicate driver problems.
Hard drive problems also cause lockups.
Go to the website of the hard drive manufacturer and download their hard
drive diagnostics.
Try step 5 on this link and check your memory:

Then why don't you unstall SP2 and see if you get back to normal?
Try it again later on. I had to install and unstall a total of 4 times
before it worked right. Keep sending in those error reports. I do beleive
they actually work on those to modify the SP2 package.

Rodney;
Actually SP-2 has not changed and will not change.
But the error reports are valuable to all users.
Microsoft spends more resources on the most frequent errors.
If you have an error, send it in and there is a resolution, you immediately
get a link to the resolution.
