I would like to be able to enable the quicklaunch toobar from the registry.
It is not as easy as one would think. Got any ideas?

To enable quick launch,right click on the task bar left click on propertys
asnd check ,Show Quick Launch.

This is for an unattended install and need to be a registry tweek. Got any
ideas?

Start>Run>Regedit>ok
now navigate to the following key:-
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer\ClassicShell
You can enable the quick launch icons by setting the above registry
entry to 1.

That is not a valid registry path in windowsXP sp2. Do you know how to do it
in windowsXP sp2?

That is going to force the classic shell for many other purposes, and
is not needed to enable QL. Rather set up toolbars etc as you want
them, and export the key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\
Explorer\Discardable\PostSetup\Component Categories\
{00021493-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}\Enum
and import on the target machines
Enabling Quicklaunch changes the 'Implementing' value in that
