Any known problem with Windows Messenger 5.1 and Norton Internet Security?

Hello

I saw that Windows Messenger 5.1 was available. Down loaded but could not
sign in my Messenger id. Kept on getting a Norton Internet Security popup.
(I did not keep a copy of the message). No matter how many times I replied
to accept rule, it would not login. After I reverted to version 5.0, all was
O.K.

I know without the popup message it makes the resolution harder.

Anyone else with this problem as am I alone.
