Most of the time when I try to download a sizeable file (eg 30MB) over my
broadband connection using, I get an error message:

Internet Explorer cannot download ..."whatever" from "wherever"
A non-blocking socket operation could not be completed immediately.

This makes it very difficult to download anything significant and I can't
find anything on MSKB that points me to how I might fix it.

I'd be very grateful for any pointers or help.

Many thanks

Andrew Beattie

the netsh command in SP2 can rebuild the Winsock catalog. Open the command
prompt and type: netsh winsock reset catalog then press ENTER.
