Why do you need a registry hack?

Its quite easy to turn off via my computer, right click and choose the
properties menu, then the automatic updates tab, and finally turn it off
from the list of options.

Hi

If it is ok that manual Windows Update does not work as well:

Under

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Wuauserv

set "Start" to 4 (REG_DWORD). The service will then be disabled and
will not be started at next reboot.

I'm not sure if you care, but the OP probably doesn't have the best
intensions with this "script". Think about it.
