I am running Windows XP Pro and for some time now, the
volume icon in the taskbar does not appear when I boot
up. I even upgraded my sound card, thinking that would do
the trick. No such luck! The check in the control panel
sound devices is applied that says "show volume icon in
the taskbar". I can make the icon appear if I uncheck
that box, apply and then check the box and apply. It does
not reappear the next time that I boot up.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I can do to get
this icon to appear at every boot up?
Thanks in advance for any help you might give me.
I just recently formatted my hard drive and that didn't
help either.
