View Full Version : Forum to test a new web cam?

I'm hoping to find a good deal on a Logitech web cam--for use with some
upcoming informal video meetings via MSN Messenger 6.1. Once I find a web
cam, is there a web site/forum that I can use to test this hardware? An
informal video forum of sorts? Microsoft-sponsored (via MSN) or not.

Greetings Chris,
The local Best Buy/Circuit City should have them reasonable (including this new one:

There really is no forum/site at this point to test this, although people have used this
group before to find people. Probably would be just as easy to just have two PCs
side-by-side [I know you're in the corporate environment, so this should be possible :) ]

The Logitech QuickCam Orbit looks like a winner! Unfortunately, no one seems
to have them in stock yet.
BTW, this is for personal use, not corporate--so side-by-side isn't an
option. :^(

Hi Chris,
Yeah, looks like a nice camera =).
I would've thought that with your corporate rollout that a video test would be beneficial.

Hi Chris,
Understandable -- personally, I hope video support is added to Windows 2000 clients in the
future.
