jonathan, this is the problem. i am trying to start from scratch with
messenger, as the slow moving window thing actually continued still, even
though i updated msgplus to 3.40.112.
i have finally managed to uninstall msn mesenger 7 (unable to do it from
add-remove programs, as it couldnt find the *.msi file, even though the
installation file was an *.exe, so i had to remove it directly from the
installation file)
but im having a major problem removing windows messenger. its being a right
pain in the arse. i open the messenger.msi installation file, and i can only
repair it, and not uninstall it, and when i go to 'add-remove' windows
componants, i get the following error message (see attached file).
i darent do the RunDll thingy you mentioned in an earlier post to remove it
as im terrified it'll screw it up even more.
im afraid im back on WinXP, easier for you to diagnose the problem, however
much to my dismay as i've lost longhorn :'(
help would be *greatly* appreciated :o)
