Scince adding Sp2 to a laptop I can no longer map network drives. I am
running XP Pro. Net Bios is enabled and using DHCP. I can ping the IP
address of the server w/reply but not server name. And I shut off windows
firewall. This worked before SP2... Any Ideas?

It's all about the firewall there Mr. Mike. Try turning on the file and
Printer sharing within the windows Firewall. If you are running a true
Server, why not ditch that Net Bios stuff and install DNS on the server, set
your system to use the server for DNS and you should be good to go.
If you must use Net Bios set a static entry in your Host file that points to
your server.
Or lastly, you could map your drives via IP address.

Thank you David! The IP thing worked I can't beleive I didn't think of that
earlier. I guess I was just to close to the problem. I did have file
sharing on but still made no change. At least it works for now... If anyone
comes up with the reall fix please let me know... Thx again.
