Hello:

I have Windows XP SP2 Home version installed on a Pentium IV machine. I would like to upgrade my operating system to Win XP SP2 Professional -- I believe I have all the software necessary. My concern is this: I do not want the XP Pro to knock out anything I have done under XP Home Version. Additionally, I do not wish to have two (2) operating systems -- just one and that one being Windows XP Pro. Thank you in advance.

Hi

If you are running SP2 Home Edition, you will need create slipstreamed CD
unless you already have an XP SP2 CD? XP Pro will install over the top XP
Home and should retain all your files, settings and programs. Although you
may like to backup all your valuable data file beforhand.
