I have been using WinXP Pro, and until I loaded the SP2 update, I had
no problem in updating the softwares for the video card.
With SP2 loaded, as I have tried to install software update for the video
card, I get the following error:
------------------------------
Error Number: 0x80040707
Description:
------------------------------
As I continue by clicking 'OK', the update process quits.
In the same PC I have dual-boot system. When I load Win98SE, I am
allowed to update the video software without any problem.
Only when I boot WinXP Pro, I cannot load the video updates.
What am I doing wrong? Do I need to reload SP2?
Any help is highly appreciated.
[P.S. video card is ATI 7200 with 64Meg Mem.]

You can uninstall SP2 and see if you can update after that. Before that,
though, you could remove the video driver, reboot and see if XP with SP2
chooses a better video driver that allowes you to do updates. After this an
update may not be needed if it works.
