Hi

I'm usng MSN Messenger mainly to speak via the Internet

It's working ok from Win2k to winok but not from WinXP to Win2k

Would you recommend a different application such as Yahoo messenger, ICQ or
other ?

YES !
Yahoo Messenger.
It also allows you to login in the "invisible" state which avoids that all
your contacts see you the moment that you login.
A must ? Yes if you do not want everybody to get in touch just to say "Hi
how are you" if you intended to do other things on the net.
