Is there more than one version of SP2 for win XP ?
My daughter uses this computer for hours every day to do homework and it
MUST run! My friend installed it and it took 2 months to get her computer
back to normal.
Automatic update downloaded it about 3 months ago but I have been afraid to
install it. If there is more than one version then how do I know if I have
the original or the updated SP2?
Thanks

There is only one version of SP2 for Home and Professional Windows XP.
The only difference in the possible downloads are one is the entire SP that
you can use on your PC and any others irrespective of what Sp they are
running; and the other is an intelligent loader that only downloads the
components that your specific PC requires to bring it up to SP2.
