i am trying to use the integrated camera on the tr2a with
messenger but the camera doesn't seem to be being accesses
by messenger. I know the camera works ok by using the
sony tools, and I know that my router and firewall are
configured OK (I have another pc working with messenger
and a camera ok).
When I start a video conference, nothing appears at either
end. When the other end starts a video conference, my
video window goes black but then nothing....
Any ideas?

Greetings Andy,
What happens if you go through the Audio (and Video) Tuning Wizard. To do so, open the main
Messenger window, then click the Tools menu, then Audio Tuning Wizard.

Hi Jonathon-
All the tests work fine and in all the drop downs there is
only one device to choose from. Is that enough info for
you?

Hi Andy,
So I assume that the camera is what is listed under the drop-down? Do you happen to be using
MSN Messenger 6.x? If so, instead of using the 'Webcam' button, click the Actions menu, then
choose 'Start Video Conference' (which actually uses a different video mode then the 'Webcam'
button does). Both sides will need to be using Windows XP for this to work however.
