I just bought a new computer with Win XP Pro SP1 on it.
It also came with WINDOWS MESSENGER. Can I use this to
chat with people who are using MSN Messenger instead or
must they also be using "Windows" Messenger? Another
question: can I download & use MSN Msngr as well as keep
the Windows Msngr going? Would there be some
incompatibilies there? In case it matters, I am using
Outlook, not Outlook Express.

You can use Windows Messenger to talk to people who have MSN Messenger and
vice versa.

You can install both and run both at the same time. However, you'll need two
passports. If you do have two passports and are running both messengers at
the same time you can talk to yourself!
