I know there is a way to disable msn messenger from being
installed and run by editing the registy. I am looking
for the same way to disable yahoo messenger from being
ran. HELP!!

Easy:
Menu option 'Login' -> 'Preferences' -> 'General' - uncheck the first box
you see! Or am I missing something?

Greetings,
Reading in between the lines, I assume you're trying to install Yahoo Messenger, but you're
receiving an error message which indicates that you can't, because you're not logged into an
administrator account on the computer you're attempting to install Yahoo Messenger on.
You will need to be running in an Administrator account to install [most] programs, and as
such, just click Start, then Log Off, and choose an account which has Administrator
privileges. If you're on a network (say, at school or in some type of enterprise
environment), there may not be an Administrator account to log into (that you have access to)
and as such, you won't be able to install anything (Yahoo Messenger or otherwise). However,
if the computer in question does have a Java Virtual Machine installed, you can access Yahoo
Messenger from here:
http://messenger.yahoo.com/#webmessenger
