View Full Version : Mobile service

Sometime last night, I noticed all my contacts that have MSN Messenger go to
their mobile device (i.e. cell phone), myself included, are not don't have
the little phone icon next to their name.
Does this part of the service work on the weekends?
Does this part of the service go down occasionally?
Is there a setting somewhere to make it work on the weekends?
I have run through the "change device information" and have confirmed that
my device is working. MSN sends the confirmation to my cell phone and I
entered it onto the web page.
Does anyone have any insight?
TIA

Greetings Brian,
It appears to be fine here -- and yes, it does work on weekends *grin*.

OK Jonathan, thanks
This has me really baffled. I went online yesterday and had it delete my
mobile account. I set it up again this morning.
I have three computers on right now, my desktop (account A, has mobile
settings), my wife's (account B), and my laptop (account C) accounts B & C
are signed in, while account A is not.
The laptop, account C shows the Mobile icon next to account A name. Account
B does not show that messages can be sent to account A.
I have 1 friend in my contacts that has mobile settings and that is showing
as well when I sign into account A.
Clear as mud, right?!?!?

Update:
I just checked with the friend who's mobile setting is showing on my
account. He says my account shows the Mobile icon when I am not signed in
also.
So, It is just the one account (B), this time, that does now see the mobile
settings.
