How to use Spellcheck on WindowsXP Professional 2002

O.K. I give up how do I use the spellcheck on my e-mails.
I tried the toolbar but must be doing something wrong.

What exactly do you mean by "I tried the toolbar"? Is the spelling option
present? If not then it means that you do not have spellcheck installed on
your system. If yes do you highlight the text that you want to check when
you select spelling? Do you have a spelling tab when you slect options?
