sleep timer/auto shutoff

is there any way i can tell my computer to completely
shut off in a given amount of time (such as sleep timers
on TV's) so that i can go to bed listening to music, but
my computer will turn off after i have gone to bed?

any help or response would be much appreciated.. thanks!

check out http://download.cnet.com and in the search field in the top right
of the page, search for the keywords
shutdown standby hibernate
"in windows"

You may find some shareware or freeware that will be able to do the task.
Or you could also use the task scheduler to run "shutdown.exe" at a certain
time however it requires more configuration to do so.
