After installing all available upgrades including SP2 for XP home edition on
a Dell Dimensions 4600, Windows will not restart or shut down. Help please.

Hi,

Here is what you can try:

1. Click Start, run, type "shutdown -f" (with out quotation marks) and click
OK.

If still no go, welcome to Windows XP sp2 free support, call in, (888)
SP2-HELP (772-4357)
