How do I activate on xp--anybody know?

You need to download and install a Java Virtual Machine - if you PC does not
have one already.
Just use your favourite Internet search engine and search for something like
"download Microsoft Java"

Microsoft is removing Microsoft Virtual Machine from its websites and
stopping distribution because of a court order:

You can download Sun Java here:
http://java.sun.com/getjava/

Gary - I am well aware of our removal of our Java VM from our sites.
The original poster still has a choice of VM from a variety of locations on
the Internet.
(Sun Microsystems being just one of them)
