in connecting to the voice chat i am able to hear the
person that i am connected to, but they are unable to
hear me. i have gone thru the audio wizard and
everything is configured correctly. i can see the level
on the mic moving so i know that it is picking up my
voice. it's just not being received on the connecting
end.
this system is less then a week old. i can connect just
fine w/ an older system but this new one will not work in
the same internet connection. all drivers are up to date.
i am not behind any "firewall" (Win Xp included) or
router and neither is the connecting computer. i have
downloaded all the updates for Windows Messenger 4.7 and
6.1 and both applications have the same results. I am
running Nortons 2002 but i have no other programs that
could cause conflictions.
i have tried everything i can think of including the
support site for microsoft and have no idea what to do at
this point. any help would be great
