IE does not work after installing SP2 (Win XP, cable modem)

IE does not work after installing SP2. When I uninstall SP2, the internet
works fine. I'm pretty sure there was a patch for this, but I cant seem to
find it. Does anyone know whats wrong?

There are many people having the same problem, but no one seems to have the
right answer. I just reformatted my computer and tried installing SP2 again,
but it doesnt seem to work. Before I reformatted, the internet worked fine
with SP2.

Does anyone know a solution? I have installed/uninstalled SP2 multiple times
now and still cannot find a solution. I have tried some hot fixes that
seemed relevant, but apparently, they were not. I am currently running SP1.
If anyone has a solution, please help! Thank you.

You have not told us how you connect to the Internet or anything about
your computer so it is impossible to give you specific help. Here are
