Hello Group, I've seen this problem before, but cannot seem to find it in
the old news headers.

I installed all the win updates, then did all the pre sp2 checks...! Turned
Norton off, turned off the firewall, ran spyware remover, ran adware
remover.

I also did a backup of the main drive using Norton Ghost, so I was able to
recover...

THE PROBLEM: After installing sp2 on my Win xp pro, MS said it was
installed successfully. When I went to restart the computer, all seemed
O.K. until the Win-XP splash screen showed... (It no longer indicated
"Professional") then there was a pause, then instead of the Windows Page,
the computer is back to the startup screen counting the RAM... then it
continues this process.....

I don't get any blue screen, just continuous restarts...!

Can someone point me to a fix...!

Thanks...!

Starz_Kid...

GOOD THING I MADE THAT GHOST BACKUP....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
