After attempting to install SP2 on XP Pro brand new machine, it errors with
The instruction at 0x77f52c81 referenced memory at 0x00520039...The memory
could not be read.
I've uninstalled/reinstalled SP2 and get same error. Could this be bad RAM
causing this because I thought Kingston was one of the better manufacturers?

System:
Asus P5P800 mobo
P4 2.8ghz HT
1gb Kingston HyperX DDR 400

Kingston doesn't make the memory chips, it assembles them onto a PCB of their
design.

All memory chips can occasionally be faulty: we have just become so used to
the reliability of the product.

If you suspect the memory is faulty, call the supplier and get a replacement
module sent to you.
