I recently had a hard-drive failure. I took the
opportunity to buy a new bigger drive. Most of my backup
was on my primary drive while systems were on the slave.
It was the slave that failed. The former primary is now
my slave drive.

I loaded XP onto my new drive and transferred files.
Somehow I now have what seems to be two
identities. "James" and "James-of16AR52N" But,XP only
allows me to login under "James"

I am the only user of this computer. Is there a way to
put all files under my user name ?

You can simply merge the data of both profiles in the C:\DOCUMENTS AND
SETTINGS\JAMES folder and its subfolders. Then log-on in the Safe Mode
and delete the folder of the other "James" profile.
