When I print I get a "Messenger Service" pop up message
giving me details of the print job. The same message also
appears on my computer when another computer (using WIN
98) on my network prints from a DOS program. How do I
stop this from happening?

Greetings Bill,
Most likely the printer is what's sending this back. As a quick solution, you could simply
disable the Messenger Service (assuming it's not used for any other purpose) by clicking
Start, then Run, enter "services.msc"and click OK. Scroll down to "Messenger", select it,
right-click and then choose Properties. Under startup type, choose 'Disabled' and then
choose the 'Stop' button. After the service is stopped, click OK.
