Hello.
I`ve got unusual problem with configuration like in topic.IIS was
installed like it should be, step by step with tutorials from
internet. But it seems everything went ok, but its false;)In services it
looks good, everything running. But page is not displaying, browser is
waiting, and waiting, and waiting and nothing happens. When I connect
with telnet to port 80 it looks identical, no info from server, i can
send whatever i want, but no response at all. anyone know how to fix it?
or where i should look for solution.
thanks

Hi,
You will have to do some additional configuration.
If you are using a proxy server.
Click on tools | Internet Options.
Then click on the connection tab and choose settings and then Lan Settings.
Check the box "Bypass proxy server for local addresses"
If you are not using a proxy server
You havent specified what page are you trying to run and have u given the
correct file extension like asp or aspx.
Do let me know the file you are trying to open and how are you opening it.
did u create a virtual directory.

What happens when you do http://localhost ? do you get the defalut page?
I had a similar problem and it was McAfee's Privacy Service I had installed
on my windows XP Pro SP2 computer after I uninstalled McAfee's Privacy
Service I had no problems.
