i want to upgrade to xp but i'm not sure my computer. Can
Microsoft scan my computer

Not sure I understand what you are asking but if you wish to know if your
computer is compatible with XP, there is utility that can check it:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/howtobuy/upgrading/advisor.asp

A word of warning, the download is approximately 50MB so if you don't have
broadband access but know someone who does, you might want to download it on
their connection and then install it on your system.

Or just borrow a friends WinXP CD, the advisor is on there as well.

Just don't use their disk to install WinXP.
