Regardless of the setting (such as to overwrite events as
log file fills) or how large the events log file, my
security events log gets full and stops my internet
access in XP. The only solution is to manually clear the
log and reboot the computer.
My "Windows Update" shows that I have all the current
updates.
The log fills within minutes when using 802.11b wireless
connection with 128-bit WEP security. Fills much less
quickly when WEP is turned off.
