I recently installed Win XP. I have had several problems
with the system. I wish I had kept Win98. What happens
now is when starting up, one-the computer is inordinately
slow. Two-it now hangs up at the screen that shows the
microsoft windows xp logo and will go no further.
Stopping and restarting the pc does nothing. Pressing Con
Alt Del does nothing. It just sits there. Has anyone else
encountered this problem. Help.

Did you perform an upgrade or Clean Installation?
An upgrade is usually OK, but sometimes a Clean Installation is
necessary.
